| Son of Ted & Delta TRAUTNER |
| He is buried at Evergreen
Cemetery in Oakland with his father. He died in a San Francisco Hospital after an illness of several weeks. Doctors were unable to determine cause, stated only as "mysterious malady". Born on 7/07/1920 at 7:00 A.M. We have a Certificate of Blessing from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, signed by Bishop Macdonald, September 5, 1920, Oakland Ward, Stake #61. Robert died of an unknown disease, and his Mother wrote of her terrible loss in his Baby Book. As with any other new mother, she kept a record of the normal growth and activities of her first child, complete with photographs. Her loss was unbearable for quite some time. QUOTE FROM BABY BOOK " September 21, 1921 - He has been gone almost three months, and the pang seems worse than at first. The weather is the cause, I think, as I have lit a fire and it was through the colder months I had, and loved Him. God help me, that I may not always feel this way, but that I may know that now there is a good reason for me to live, and to live better, so that I may have my dear baby again." Eighteen months later, she gave birth to another son, Richard. |
| Born on a Wednesday, he died one month before his first birthday at 11 months and 3 days. |
