| It was eighteen months after the death of her baby Robert, that his mother again had a son, Richard, who was a very sickly child (he did, however, outgrow his illnesses and became strong and healthy). She wrote in his baby book, "My heart aches for him as sickness is a terrible thing to have all the time. God help him to outgrow weak kidney. I pray it. I want you to be strong so badly, for I love you so much, and it is so hard to get along in life with a sickly body. I know, I've suffered so myself, Mother." |
