HER MARRIAGE TO THEODORE KLEIN
b. April 1865- Missouri
d. 1947 - San Francisco, CA

By the urging of a previous boarder, after the death of her husband Jacob, she moved to
San Francisco where she worked as an alterations person for I.Magnin.  Her boarder/friend
lived in Richmond, UT where her  husband had worked with the railroad.  Boline met
Ted Klein who was a widower, for one year. She had been alone for 4 years and wanted
a companion.   He was a devout Mormon and they had much in common.

Her daughter Mabel got married, the year after coming to S.F., at age 19.  Delta was 15-1/2
when she joined her mother a few weeks after her mother got settled.  Ted and Boline
loved to go sight seeing in the City with an all day pass for 20 cents.  They attended Church,
he taught Sunday School,  and they would do only "fun things" after church, no cooking,
no working.  Any Sunday meals were made Saturday, or they would eat out.  They were
married in San Francisco but were "sealed" in Salt Lake.  Some Sundays they would go
to concerts at Golden Gate Park, have refreshments at the Japanese  Garden or go to
dinner.  They lived for 7 years in S.F., had a lot of friends, picnics and good times.

In 1920 they left for Oakland, CA.  He commuted to work and they bought a house at
5253 Trask Ave. a 5 room bungalow.  After a short time he was in the hospital for
10 weeks and needed two operations, at a cost of $1600.00.  They used all their
money and had to sell their home.

They moved back to S.F., rented a 6 room flat and rented out 2 rooms.  He went back to work
part time and she back at I.Magnin, part-time.    While living in S.F. they took in many
Missionaries and were very involved in the Church.
She remained involved with the church after her husband died in 1942.

She lived to be 106 and was very independent.    Her sister  "Sofie" Ames moved
in with her after her husband, Clarence's death.  Boline took care of her until she
was getting senile and Boline couldn't take care of her anymore.   Sofie died in 1947.
She was buried in Ogden with her  husband.  After she buried her sister in Ogden,
she returned to S.F. and sold everything and moved back to Oakland.

Boline stayed with her daughter Mabel for many years, then alone for 10 years and
finally moved into a Rest Home around age 90,  where she lived until age 106.

At her 100th Birthday party five generations attended:
her daughter, grand-daughter, great- grand daughter and  great-great- grandchildren.

She died at 106, out living  all of her siblings  and children.
