| 1880 Census - Schleswig, Manitowoc County, WI - E.D. 77 page 10 & 11 This Shows August and Bertha with their children as of 1880. It extends from page 10 to page 11. The First and Second line list August and Bertha. Line 3 names Rudolph (age 9) and Line 4 names Willie (age 7). I have no info on Willie. Line 5 names Albert (age 5). Line 6 names Amanda (age 3) and Line 7 names August (age 2). I have no info on August, Jr. August, Sr. lists his occupation as Farmer (which is also listed on his death certificate). Bertha lists hers as keeping house. John is not listed. |

| In 1860 August lived in the Township of Granville, WI. He lived with his father Johann and Sophia (who may not be his mother). The name was spelled FROMMING with the two dots over the "o". Please see August's info page. He and Johann immigrated in June 1857 but there was no mention of Sophia. Either she wasn't listed or he married after arriving here.
