| Born in Oakland, CA She was only 15 when her mother died, and she had lost her father a few years earlier. She and sister Evelyn helped raise brother Joe, by working and going to school. She graduated from Castlemont High School in Oakland, CA. Married with one son, but divorced while he was young. She was an Administrative Assistant at Stanford up until her death. She was baptized at St. Louis Bertrand church on 100th Ave in Oakland on June 3, 1922 along with her brother, Joseph. Her sponsors were neighbors, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Bovo who lived at 1330 - 87th Ave. |
